Landmark Tavern's Irish Soda Bread

Everyone can have their own personal loaf of Irish Soda Bread - no fighting! This recipe is special with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Ingredients

• 4 cups flour
• 3 eggs
• 2 teaspoons cinnamon
• 2 teaspoons nutmeg
• 1 1/4 cup sugar
• 6 ounces raisins
• 4 teaspoons baking powder
• 3/4 cup buttermilk
• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Sift flour into bowl. Add all other dry ingredients, including raisins. Blend in eggs.

Slowly mix in milk and knead mixture.

Divide into 6 round loaves and score top.

Bake on baking sheet for 25 minutes.
