Ingredients

  • 1/2-cup butter
  • 1/2-cup margarine
  • 1/2-cup sugar
  • 2-21/2 cups all-purpose flour

Preparation

Step 1

Cream together butter, margarine and sugar until light & fluffy.
Gradually mix in flour and knead until well blended.
On a lightly floured surface roll out dough into a rectangle and cut with a sharp knife into four 2" wide strips; cut strips into small triangles.
Prick the entire surface with a fork.
Arrange on baking sheet.
Bake at 325 degrees 35-40 minutes or until firm to the touch and delicately golden brown on the edges.
Cool on racks.
May be sprinkled with sugar.
