Brownie Mix

Make your own brownie mix! If you want them chocolatier, add some semi-sweet chocolate morsels before pouring into the pan.

Ingredients

• 1 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/3 cup cocoa
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 cup vegetable oil
• 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Mix together the sugar, flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder. This can be prepared ahead of time and saved in a baggie or other airtight container.

When you are ready to make the brownies, preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Pour the mix into a bowl. Add the eggs, oil and vanilla and stir until thoroughly mixed.

Bake for 20-25 minutes in an 8x8 or 9x9 pan.

**** I tried this recipe and noticed that they were extremely oily. So, I tried it using applesauce in place of oil, which made it a little spongie...next I will try using 1/4 C oil and 1/4 C applesauce.
