Grandma's Raisin Pie

  • 1 box raisins
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 T. flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 unbaked double pie crust

Preparation

Step 1

Cook raisins in water to cover. Cook until plump. Stir together brown sugar and flour. Beat egg and add to flour/sugar mixture. Stir well and add raisins. Cook until thick. Be very careful, for it scorches easily. Add vanilla. Pour in pie crust. Dampen pie crust on edge. Add crust; cover . Bake in medium hot 375 degree oven until crust is done.
