Ingredients
- 9 Green apples
- 1/2 A fresh lemon
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups Sugar
- 4 1/2 cups Flour
- 1 1/2 pkgs Vanilla sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 cup Oil
- 1 1/2 tsp Baking powder
Preparation
Step 1
1. Peel and slice apples.
2. Squeeze lemon and pour over apples along with the cinnamon and ½ cup sugar.
3. By hand, combine remaining ingredients, along with the remaining cup of sugar.
4. Divide crumb mixture into 3. Layer pan (size bigger than a 9x13) starting with crumb mixture, then apples, crumbs, apples, ending with crumbs (you can top with a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired).
5. Bake @ 350 for 1½ hours.
