Ingredients
- Grits:
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- 1 cup quick cooking grits
- salt and pepper
- 1 tblsp butter
- 1/4 cup parmesan
- Shrimp:
- 2 tblsp butter
- 1/2 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Celery, chopped
- 1/2 lb smoked kielbasa sausage, sliced
- 2 lbs. uncooked large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1 (14.5 oz.) can diced tomatoes
Preparation
Step 1
Bring chicken stock and whipping cream to a simmer. Whisk in the grits and salt. Stir constantly and return to a low simmer. Follow grits cooking directions. Stir in butter and cheese, salt and pepper.
Heat large sautee pan, melt butter, sautee onion, garlic, and celery. Add in suasage. When the sausage has cooked add the white wine, diced tomatoes, and shrimp and sautee for two minutes. Serve over the grits.
