Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 2 tbsp. water
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. whole-wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp. powdered milk
  • 1 tbsp. confectioners’ sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 c. peanut oil, for frying
  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Pickles, for serving
  • Butter, for bread
  • 2 Hamburger buns

Preparation

Step 1

Start by whisking the egg, milk, paprika, and water together in a bowl.
In a separate container, mix the all-purpose flour, the whole-wheat flour, the powdered milk, powdered sugar, baking soda, dry mustard, salt, and ground pepper.
Mix till combined.

Now dunk your cleaned chicken breast in the egg mix and coat with the dry ingredients.

Next you’re going to pan fry the chicken breasts in a pan covered with hot peanut oil.
Once the oil is 325°F drop the chicken inside.
Fry until golden brown.

Then butter your hamburger bun and toast on a hot pan.
Garnish with pickles and you’re ready to eat!
