Slaw

Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage; shredded
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers (red, green, yellow)
  • 1/2 cup pimentos; diced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seed

Preparation

Step 1

Soak cabbage, bell pepper, and pimentos in 2 cups water for 4 hours. Boil remaining ingredients and let cool. Press liquid out of cabbage and add 3 stalks celery diced. Pour cool syrup over cabbage. The longer it marinates, the better it gets. Keep refridgerated
