Ingredients

  • 1/2

    lb bulk Italian pork sausage

  • 1/3

    cup chopped onion

  • 1/4

    cup chopped red bell pepper

  • 1

    can (10.2 oz) Pillsbury® Grands!® refrigerated buttermilk biscuits (5 biscuits)

  • 1/2

    cup shredded mozzarella cheese (2 oz)

  • 1 1/2

    cups tomato pasta sauce, heated

Directions

1 Heat oven to 375°F. In 8-inch skillet, cook sausage, onion and bell pepper over medium heat 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until sausage is no longer pink; drain. Cool 10 minutes. 2 Separate dough into 5 biscuits. On ungreased large cookie sheet, press each biscuit into 6-inch round. Top half of each round with sausage mixture and cheese to within 1/2 inch of edge. Fold dough over filling; press edges firmly with fork to seal. 3 Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm calzones with warm pasta sauce for dipping
