French Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 t yeast
  • 1 T sugar
  • 1 1/2 t salt
  • 2 C warm Water
  • 5 cups flour

Preparation

Step 1

mix yeast, sugar, 1 C of water, and 1 C of flour in bowl. Mix and let sit for 20-30 minutes
Add other ingredients, knead, put into oiled bowl, covered for an hour. Punch down, pour onto floured surface, knead and shape into loaf, cover with plastic and let sit for 25 minutes until risen. Bake 375 for 25 mins or until golden brown
