Roll-out Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 5 1/3 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 8 oz sour cream

Preparation

Step 1

Cream the first 5 ingredients together (wet). Blend dry ingredients to the first ingredients. Add sour cream in between to blend. Refrigerate dough for 1 hour. Roll out 1/4" thick on floured cookie sheet. Bake at 350' for about 10 minutes. *Top with icing (don't over cook)
