Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup pecans
- 1 cup coconut
- 1/2 lb dates; chopped
Preparation
Step 1
Cook first 3 ingredients until melted (do not over cook). Add 1/2 lb dates to syrup, stir often on low heat until very thick. Bubbles will pop and hiss. Take from fire and add nuts, and coconut. Beat until soft like cookie dough and can be handled. Put candy on cloth, that has been soaked in cold water. Form a roll and wrap in wet cloth.
