Ingredients
- 4 cups apple cider
- 4 cups cranberry juice
- 1 orange; sliced into thin rounds
- orange slices for garnish
- 1 tsp allspice berries
- 1 tsp whole cloves
- 1 whole nutmeg
- 10 cinnamon sticks
- 1 cup apple brandy, such as Calvados
Preparation
Step 1
In a large saucepan, bring the apple cider, cranberry juice, orange slices, allspice, cloves, nutmeg, and 2 cinnamon sticks to a simmer over medium-low heat. Cook for 15 minutes. Stir in the brandy, simmer for 5 minutes. Strain; discard the spices. Serve with the extra orange slices and cinnamon sticks.
