No Roll Peach Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 2 c. slice peaches
  • 1 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 3/4 c flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 3/4 c milk

Preparation

Step 1

Mix sliced peaches 1 c. sugar (set aside). (I use 2 cans of peaches in syrup)
Put butter in baking dish (2 qt), place in oven while preheating to melt.
Make batter: combing rest of sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, and milk. Pour over melted butter. DO NOT STIR
Put sweeten peaches on top of batter. DO NOT STIR
Bake 350' for 1 hour.

The batter will rise to the top while baking and become crisp and brown. Serve with ice cream or more peaches if desired.
