Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup shortening
- 2 eggs
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 400 degrees.
Mix sugar, butter, shortening and eggs in large bowl. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Shape dough in balls.
Mix the 2 Tbsp. sugar with the 2 tsp. cinnamon together in a small bowl to roll the balls or in a Ziploc bag to shake the balls of cookie dough in.
Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 8-10 minutes. Remove from sheet immediately.
