Turkey Patties Oriental

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1/3 c. fine dry bread crumbs
  • 1 egg sprinkle garlic powder
  • 1 T. cooking oil
  • 2 stalks celery, cut diagonally
  • 1 med. onion, cut into large rings
  • 1 med. green pepper, cut into 3/4-inch pieces
  • 2 med. tomatoes, cut into eighths
  • 1 c. chicken broth (1 bouillon cube to 1 c. water)
  • 1 T. soy sauce
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch

Preparation

Step 1

Mix turkey, bread crumbs, egg and garlic powder together. Form into 4 to 6 patties. Mix chicken broth, soy sauce and cornstarch to make "oriental sauce" Saute burgers in oil on medium heat for 3 minutes each side. Reduce heat; add sauce, celery, onion and pepper. Simmer, covered for 6 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste. Add tomatoes; simmer for 2 to 3 minutes or until meat is no longer mink.
