Pineapple Burgers

  • 1 1/2 to 2 lbs. lean hamburger
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 sm. can pineapple slices, well drained
  • 4 T. brown sugar
  • 4 T. catsup
  • 4 T. prepared mustard

Preparation

Step 1

Set oven at broil and/or 550. Shape meat into 8 thin patties; sprinkle with salt. Place pineapple slice on each of 4 patties. Top with remaining patties; press edges together to seal. Push finger in center; fill depression with extra hamburger. Place patties on rack in broiler pan with tops 4 inches from heat until brown. Mix brown sugar, catsup and mustard. Turn patties; spoon brown sugar mixture on patties and broil until of desired doneness.
