Ingredients
- 2 c. self-rising flour
- 1/4 c. Sourdough Starter
- 2/3 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1 T. finely shredded orange peel
- 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 c. sifted powdered sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 or 2 T. milk
Preparation
Step 1
Combine flour, sourdough starter and buttermilk. Turn onto floured surface; knead 15 times. Roll to a 12-inch square. Brush with 3 tablespoons melted butter or margarine. Combine sugar, orange peel and cinnamon. Sprinkle over dough. Roll up dough in jellyroll-fashion; seal. Cut into 12 (1-inch) slices. Place slices, cut side down, in a greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Brush with 1 tablespoon melted butter. Bake in 450 oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Turn out onto rack. Mix powdered sugar, vanilla and milk. Drizzle over warm rolls
