Corn Pones

  • 2 c. white conrmeal
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 3 T. drippings of butter

Preparation

Step 1

Sift together cornmeal and salt into a mixing bowl. Stir in water and drippings. Wet hands and shape dough into pones. Place on a hot greased griddle. Bake in a moderate 375 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
