Ingredients
- 1 pkg. mild taco mix
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 med. head lettuce
- 1 lg. tomato, cut in wedges
- 1 c. chopped green pepper
- 1/2 c. celery
- 1/2 c. sliced black olives
- 4 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 (6-oz) pkg taco or corn chips
Preparation
Step 1
Brown beef and add taco mix to it. Stir in 1/3 cup water. Simmer, uncovered, for about 10 minutes. (Add more water if dry) In salad bowl, combine bite-size pieces of lettuce, tomato wedges, green pepper, celery, black olives, shredded cheese, chips and hamburger mixture. Toss with 3 or 4 tablespoons western or Catalina dressing. Top with broken corn or taco chips.
