Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 5 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup cold butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup currants or raisins
  • 1 egg

Preparation

Step 1

Measure flour, sugar and baking powder into a bowl.

Cut butter with pastry blender till size of peas.

Beat milk & egg & raisins.

Mix together with flour

Roll out 1/2 ". Cut into 2" rounds or triangles.

Brush with milk & sprinkle with sugar

Bake 375 degrees 12-15 minutes
