Avocado Mash on Sourdough Toast

Ingredients

  • 1 large avocado
  • Chohula, Tabasco, or other hot pepper sauce to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • Unsalted butter

Preparation

Step 1

Mash the avocado roughly with a fork, mixing in a dash or two of hot sauce and a couple pinches of salt. Toast the sourdough and butter it generously on one side. Mound equal portions of the avocado over the toast and serve. Eat with your fingers or a fork, depending on who's looking.
