Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 3/4 cups whole milk
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 cup whipping cream

Step 1
In a small bowl combine cornstarch, 1/2 cup milk and egg yolks; mix until well blended. Set aside. In small saucepan combine remaining 1 1/4 cups milk, vanilla, sugar and butter; bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir a small amount hot mixture into yolk mixture to warm. Gradually whisk warmed yolk mixture into hot milk mixture. Continue cooking, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat. Stir in whipping cream. Serve sauce warm.
