Ingredients

  • 4 lbs. baby back ribs
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 TBS white sugar
  • 1 TBS paprika
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp chile powder
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup ketcup
  • 1/4 cup chile sauce
  • 1/4 cup worchestershire sauce
  • 1 TBS lemon juice
  • 2 TBS chopped onions
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 clove crushed garlic

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Place ribs on rack in a roasting pan. Scatter 4 cloves of sliced garlic over ribs. Cover and bake 2 1/2 hours. Cool slightly.
In a small bowl mix sugar and spices. Rub over cooled ribs. Cover and refrigerate overnite.
In saucepan mix remaining ingredients. Simmer for 1 hour. Reserve some for basting and the remaining for dipping.
Grill and baste ribs
