Ingredients

  • 1/2 C Water
  • 1/3 C reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 C honey
  • 4 Garlic Cloves
  • 3/4 lb beef flank steak cut into thin strips (or chicken)
  • 2 t canola oil
  • 2 C broccoli
  • quartered onion
  • peppers (green & red)
  • sliced mushrooms
  • 1 t cornstarch

Preparation

Step 1

Mix first 4 ingredients. Pour 1/2 cup in resealable bag, add beef, refrigerate 1 hour. Refrigerate remaining marinade.

Stir fry beef in oil 2-3 minutes, remove meat & keep warm. Add broccoli, onion, peppers to pan stir fry few minutes, add mushrooms for 1-2 minutes more. Return beef to pan. Combine corn starch to marinade, stir into pan. Bring to boil, cook until thickened. Stir over brown rice (optional)
