Salisbury Steak

Ingredients

  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/3 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup minced onions
  • 1 1/2 cups sliced mushrooms

Preparation

Step 1

In a bowl, mix thoroughly ¼ cup soup, beef, bread crumbs, egg and onion. Shape firmly into six oval patties. In a skillet over high heat, in 1 Tbsp. hot oil, cook patties until brown. Spoon off fat. Remove patties from skillet. Stir in remaining soup and mushrooms. Return patties to skillet. Cover and simmer 20 minutes turning patties occasionally.
