Crockpot Creamy Italian Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2-4 lbs chicken breasts
  • 8 oz cream cheese (1 pkg)
  • 10 oz cream of chicken soup (1 can)
  • 0.7 oz dry italian dressing mix (1 pkg)
  • 1 cup chicken broth or water, divided (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Add the cream cheese, cream of chicken, and dry italian dressing mix to the crockpot. Set to low and cook for 30 minutes to soften the cream cheese.
Add 1/2 cup chicken broth to the crockpot (optional) and stir the contents together with a spatula.
Add the chicken to the crock-pot. Scoop up some of the sauce and spread it on stop of the chicken.
Optional step: Add another 1/2 cup chicken broth to the crockpot, but do not stir. Allow broth to pool in corners.
Cook on high for 4-6 hours, or until chicken is cooked and cuts easily. Serve immediately.
