Ingredients
- 3 TB Chili Powder
- 1.5 tsp Oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 3 TB cornstarch
- 3 TB avocado oil
- 3 C veggie stock
- 4 oz Tomato Paste
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- apple cider vinegar or lime juice to taste.
- Possibly honey?
Preparation
Step 1
Whisk together spices and set aside.
Heat avocado oil over medium heat until shimmering (approx. 3 minutes)
Add spices to the oil in the skillet, stir, and heat until toasted and fragrant (approx. 2 minutes)
Combine cornstarch, stock and tomato paste. Add to spices in a steady stream, whisking thoroughly.
Increase heat to a slight boil, then reduce to low, stirring and simmering for 5-8 minutes.
