  • 1/2 cups Confectioners Sugar (Powdered)
  • 2 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder (3 Tablespoons For A Darker Chocolate)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Preparation

Step 1

This makes enough for 12 cupcakes or one 9″ round cake.

In a large mixing bowl, add cream cheese and butter. Whip on medium speed until light and fluffy.

On low speed, add confectioner’s sugar, a little at time. Whip until well incorporated.

Add cocoa powder. Whip on low speed until incorporated.

Add vanilla extract and continue to whip on low speed for 5-10 seconds.

Taste the frosting. If it is too bitter, add 1 tablespoon of confectioner’s powdered sugar and whip on low speed just until incorporated.

Use for frosting and enjoy!

Refrigerate if not being used immediately. Allow to come to room temperature again before using.
