Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. ground chicken
  • 1/2 lb. ground pork
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 chopped jalapenos (optional)
  • 2 14.5 oz cans diced tomatoes (fire roasted or whatever you like)
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1/2 cup Pace Hot chunky salsa or your favorite
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • chopped fresh cilantro (1/4 bunch)

Preparation

Step 1

Cook meats with onion, garlic and jalapenos until done. Drain off fat.
Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, chili powder, salsa and salt.
Simmer 1-2 hours.
Add oregano and cilantro.
Simmer for another hour.
Add canned beans if you wish.
