Ingredients
- Almonds
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds
- 4 tsp. sugar
- Salad
- 1/4 head lettuce, torn
- 1/4 bunch romaine or green leaf lettuce, torn
- 2 ribs celery, chopped
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 can mandarin oranges, drained
Preparation
Step 1
Almonds and sugar
Cook over very low heat, stirring constantly till sugar melts and almonds are coated. Cool, break apart.
In large bowl, toss lettuce with celery and onion. Pour sweet and sour dressing (see Sweet and Sour Dressing) over all. Add orange segments. Toss till well coated.
