Ingredients
- BECHAMEL SAUCE
- 1 stick of unsalted butter
- 1 cup of flour
- 1 qt. whole milk, warm
- freshly grated nutmeg or ground nutmeg - about a teaspoon
- salt to taste
Preparation
Step 1
In a nonstick deep sided sautee pan, place stick of butter on medium low; heat to melt; add flour slowly while continuously stirring to form a rue. Warm the quart of milk in a separate pan and add slowly into the rue of butter and flour whisking continuously until smooth consistency and until all ingredients are blended. Add salt and nutmeg to your taste. Use this delicious sauce to add tremendous flavor to your lasagne. This sauce can also be used to create wonderful vegetable bakes and potato dishes.
