Beefy Barbecued Onions

Great on burgers, dogs and steaks.

Ingredients

• 1 envelope Lipton Beefy Mushroom Soup Mix
• 2 Tbs ketchup
• 2 Tbs firmly packed brown sugar
• 2 Tbs vegetable oil
• 4 large onions (about 2 lbs), thinly sliced
• 1 extra heavy duty foil bag, regular size

Preparation

Step 1

1. I.n large bowl, combine soup mix, ketchup, brown sugar and oil. Add oinions; toss to coat. Turn into foil bag. Double fold open end of bag to seal.

2. Grill, turning bag over halfway through cooking, 25 mins. or until onions are tender.


Oven Method: Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Place foil bag on large baking pan on bottom rack and bake, turning bag over halfway through cooking, 45 mins. or until onions are tender.
