Ingredients
- 2 c. flour (unsifted)
- 2 1/2 t. baking powder
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3/4 t. salt
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1 egg (well beaten)
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 c. blueberries (drained)

Preparation
Step 1
Cut shortening into flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Add well beaten egg and milk. Mix as little as possible just until you see no dry ingredients. Add berries and fold in.
Makes 12 small muffins
Bake 20 minutes in a 350 degree oven
NOTE: The less you work with the batter the better the muffins will be. I have used chopped fresh and dried cranberries in lieu of the blueberries.
