Preparation

Step 1

1.Cut sirloin roast into medium size pieces and place in pan. Add celery, celery leaves, onions and garlic to pan.

2.Season with salt, pepper, garlic salt and parsley. Add water to cover the bottom of pan about ½ inch high. Cover Pan and simmer meat slowly. Turn to brown other side and season the other side.
3.After meat has sauted, add tomato puree, tomato paste and three cans of water (Fill 1 tomato puree can twice with water and the other can once). Season well salt, pepper, garlic salt, parsley and sugar.

4.Cook sauce without the lid until it thickens about 3 hours. Stir often to ensure the sauce does not burn on the bottom of the pan. Continue to add garlic salt if needed.

5.Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line broiler pan with foil and place sausage links on the pan, cut in half if you like smaller pieces. Cook for 1 hr, turn over halfway through cooking. Place on paper towel lined dish when cooked to remove any grease.

6.Make meatball according to below recipe but do not cook them. Add the raw meatballs to the sauce and let them cook in the sauce.

7.Add sausage to the sauce the last hour of cooking.
