Cottage Pudding

Ingredients

• Sauce:
• 1 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1 egg
• 1 cup sweet milk
• 3 cups flour
• 2 tsp. cream of tarter
• 1 tsp. soda
• pinch of salt
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 heaping tbsp. flour
• 2 tbsp. butter
• pinch of salt

Preparation

Step 1

Mix with cold water then add 2 cups boiling water, cook to a boil. Add 1 tsp. vanilla for flavor.
