  • 2 Tbsp oil
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 medium onion chopped finely
  • 1 c vodka, or low sodium chicken broth
  • 14 ounces pureed tomatoes
  • crushed red pepper flakes to taste
  • 1/2 teas. salt
  • fresh black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup heavy cream



Step 1

Combine the olive oil and butter in a large skillet, over medium heat, cook the minced garlic for 1 min, add onions and cook for 2 min. Remove from heat, and add the vodka, cook for 1-2 minutes over medium heat. Add the tomatoes, salt, pepper, and chili flakes. Stir in the heavy cream, and stir slowly to combine.
