Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2 pound country-style pork ribs
- 2 granny smith apples, cored and thinly sliced
- 1 bag (16-ounce) fresh sauerkraut
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper

Step 1
Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add ribs in two batches and brown on all sides. Transfer to 4-quart or larger slow cooker.
Layer sliced apples, then sauerkraut (with juice) over ribs in cooker. Sprinkle remaining ingredients over sauerkraut.
Cover. Cook on low 5 to 6 hours. Stir before serving.
