Guacamole

Ingredients

  • 8 ripe avocados, peeled
  • 1 medium-size ripe tomato, diced
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 to 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons minced fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

• Mash avocados with a fork until smooth; stir in tomato, next 5 ingredients, and, if desired, hot sauce.

• Serve immediately, or cover and chill up to 2 hours. Serve with tortilla chips
