Pecan Butter Crescents

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound butter
  • 1 cup confectioner's sugar sifted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 pound pecans chopped medium fine
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour sifted

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter thoroughly, add sifted sugar a little at a time and then add vanilla. Add flour alternately with the chopped nuts beating well after each addition. Mold into crescent, rounds or ovals and bake on a lightly greased inverted side of cookie sheet for about 25 minutes at 350 F, or until golden brown. Bake on the upper rack for the last 5 minutes. When cooled, dip into confectioner's sugar.
