Ingredients

  • 1 can beef consomme
  • 1 package Knox gelatin with 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1/2 pound Braunschweiger
  • 2 packages Philadelphia Cream Cheese
  • 1 teaspoon onion juice
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • worcestershire sauce & tabasco to taste
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Heat 1 can of beef consomme and add 1 envelope of Knox gelatin which has been softened with 1/4 cup cold water. Pour a thick layer of the above mixture in mold, about 1/2 inch thick and chill in refrigerator until firm. Mash 1/2 lb. Braunschweiger with 2 pkgs (small) Philadelphia cream cheese. Cream well, add 1 teaspoon onion juice, 1 teaspoon dry mustard, and worcestershire sauce, tabasco, salt and pepper to taste. Add remaining consomme and gelatin to mixture and blend well. Pour over molded gelatin and chill 24 hours.
