Ingredients
- SALAD:
- 1 head romaine lettuce
- 1 head Boston lettuce
- 1 pint strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped roasted walnuts
- DRESSING:
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 c sugar
- 1/2 c red wine vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/2 t paprika
- 1/4 t ground white pepper
Preparation
Step 1
Tear lettuce into bite sized pieces.
Combine lettuce, strawberries, cheese and walnuts in a large salad bowl.
Shake dressing vigorously; pour over salad and toss gently.
DRESSING:
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until sugar is dissolved.
Cover tightly and refrigerate until ready for use.
Can be refrigerated for up to 3 weeks.
