Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup elbow macaroni (8 oz package)
- 2 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder optional
- 1 dash onion salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 1/2 cups hot water
- 1 (6 oz) tomato paste
- 1/4 cup water

Step 1
Brown ground beef in dutch oven, pour off drippings. Add macaroni, salt, chili powder, onion salt, sugar, and pepper. Stir in 2 1/2 cups hot water. Cover and cook for 10 minutes. Combine tomato paste and 1/4 cup water and add to meat mixture. Continue to cook, covered, for 10 minutes on low heat.
