Baked Celery

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 3 c. celery, cut in 1-inch pieces, cooked
  • 1/2 c. grated sharp cheddar cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Saute mushrooms in butter for 5 mins. Sprinkle with flour, salt, and pepper and blend. Add milk and cook until thick and smooth. Place celery in a shallow baking dish and cover with mushrooms. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake in a moderate oven (350-375 degrees) for 15 mins.
