Croissant French Toast

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 apples, peeled and cut into slices
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 Croissants
  • Confectioners sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter in large Saute pan over med-low heat. Add sugar and cook 1-2 minutes until sugar is caramelized. Add apples and maple syrup. Cook over low heat for 20-25 minutes until apples are tender. Keep warm

Whisk milk, eggs and cinnamon in large shallow bowl. Add croissant halves to mixture until thoroughly saturated.

Melt remaining butter on a griddle. Cook croissant halves until golden brown on both sides. Serve with warm apples. Top with powdered sugar.
