Ingredients
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 1/2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon melted margarine or shortening

Step 1
In a medium bowl suitable for pouring batter. First drop the egg in the bowl and beat slightly, then add the remaining ingredients in order. Stir until well mixed. Do not beat. Let batter rest a few minutes before baking on a hot griddle. Makes 7-8 pancakes.
