Strawberry Shortcake Muddy Buddies

Strawberry cake mix and shortbread cookie crumbs add a fun twist to this easy snack mix.

Ingredients

• 8 cups Chex cereal
• 12 ounces white candy melts
• 3/4 cup shortbread cookie crumbs (6-7 cookies)
• 3/4 cup strawberry cake mix
• 1/2 cup powdered sugar
• 1 bag strawberry M&M's candies

Preparation

Step 1

Pour the cereal into a large bowl. Microwave the chocolate melts according to the package directions. Pour over the cereal and stir until completely coated.
Divide the cereal evenly into 2 large ziplock bags. Pour the cookie crumbs into one bag and the cake mix into the other bag. Shake each bag until the cereal is coated.
Add the powdered sugar to the bag with cookie crumbs. Shake again.
Pour both bags of cereal into a large bowl or bag with the M&M's. Store tightly sealed. Makes 9 cups snack mix.
