Gingerbread Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c butter
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 1/2 c molasses
  • 2 T millk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 3 t dried ginger
  • 1/2 t cinnamon
  • 1/4 t allspice
  • 2 1/2 c flour

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter and pour into mixing bowl. Add sugar, salt and molasses, combining well. Stir in milk and egg until even consistency. Add soda, ginger, cinnamon, allspice, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the flour, mixing until even consistency.
Refrigerate dough for 3 hours. Roll out chilled dough about 1/4 in thick on a floured surface and cut shapes. Place about half an inc apart on a greased or non stick cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 6-7 min.
