Brown Sugar Frosting

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c butter(not margarine)
  • 1 c light brown sugar
  • 1/4 c milk
  • 3 1/4 c powdered sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter in a saucepan over med heat, being careful not to scorch. Add the brown sugar and bring to a rolling boil. will be thick and fluffy. Continue cooking about 30 seconds or more. Remove from the heat and set aside to cool 10 min. When cooled, add milk, mixing until smooth. Beat in sugar until spreading consistency, may be a little more or less than given amount.
Frost cake when completely cooled.
