Balsamic Apple Topper

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. olive oil
  • 1 pippin or Granny Smith apple, peeled, cored and chopped
  • 1 tbsp. each: balsamic vinegar and honey
  • Grilled or baked salmon, chicken or pork
  • 1 tbsp. snipped fresh basil

Preparation

Step 1

Heat olive oil in a small nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add apples and cook over medium-low heat for about 5 minutes or until softened. Stir in vinegar and honey and cook for a minute or two more.

Serve over salmon, chicken or pork and top with snipped basil.
